The staff at Core Physical Therapy welcomes you! Though our clinical staff hails from diverse professional backgrounds, we are dedicated to providing excellent physical therapy services in a positive, supportive environment.
Jennifer Jordan, MSPT
Jen received her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Science and her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Boston’s Northeastern University. She has a strong background in pediatric physical therapy, and has treated infants and children/teens of all ages at Boston Childrens Hospital; Hasbro’s Childrens Hospital in Providence, RI, and recently, at a pediatric outpatient clinic in Burlingame. Additionally, she has extensive experience in sports medicine, outpatient orthopedics, and spinal cord rehabilitation at Boston Medical Center. A sense of adventure propelled her to explore, and recently settle here on the west coast after having spent the past year as a traveling physical therapist. Jen is a certified Kinesiotape practitioner, and is also a Sportsmetric certified instructor, a PSIA certified ski instructor – and has been an adaptive ski instructor for the past 5 years. In her free time, she participates in triathlons, and is also an avid skier, cyclist, runner, and hiker.
Holly Klopfer, DPT
Holly received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology, and minor in Health Science at California State University, Chico. She later obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt College. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is an American College of Sports Medicine certified Health Fitness Instructor. Holly’s special interests are post-operative spine rehabilitation and sports injuries in teens. She also participated in a childhood obesity prevention clinic through Kaiser Medical Center in Hayward, California. In her free time, Holly enjoys running, hiking, camping, and fishing!
Melanie Marshall, MPT, DPT
Melanie received her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Vanderbilt University and both of her Master of Science and Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy from UCSF/SFSU. Her experience is primarily in outpatient orthopedics and she has a strong background in sports medicine, but has also practiced in acute care (UCSF) and skilled nursing settings. She has special interests in spine rehabilitation and hemophilia, and recently completed a research study on elbow replacement in hemophiliac patients while pursuing her Doctorate at UCSF. She has been given the honor of presenting the results of that study at a conference of the World Federation of Hemophilia in Istanbul, Turkey in June 2008. She spends her free time outdoors whenever possible and is an avid skier, mountain biker, surfer and hiker.
Susan Micheletti, PTA
Susan received her Associate of Science degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at the Western Institute of Science and Health. Having several years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy settings, Susan has treated a broad array of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. She has a special interest in the Pilates Method and has received thorough training in both the Intensive Mat and Reformer courses through Stott Pilates in 2005. A lifelong Marin county resident, Susan can be found sailing in the San Francisco Bay and running the many wooded trails.
Alejandra Salinas, DPT
Ale (pronounced “Allie”) received her undergraduate degree in Biological Science from University of California, Davis. She later obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt College. Ale has a special interest in general orthopedics and vestibular rehabilitation, and has pursued further study in these topics via continuing education courses. Ale enjoys running, playing softball, and travel in her spare time.
Kris Wittman, OTR, MPT
Kris received her undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy at San Jose State University, and her Masters in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt College. As both an occupational and physical therapist, Kris has diverse clinical experience treating a broad range of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders in a variety of settings that include acute rehabilitation, transitional care, acute care, hand therapy, and outpatient orthopedics. Kris trained and taught classical ballet and jazz for several years before majoring in dance at the University of California, Irvine – where she also danced professionally. She credits dance with developing her interest in studying human movement. Kris has a special interest in sports injuries and training for balance, agility, and coordination. She has received training in the Stott Pilates method for both mat and reformer work. As a strong proponent of continuing education in physical therapy, Kris regularly attends educational/training courses in a wide variety of orthopedic/musculoskeletal topics throughout the year.
